WP Care Closet
The Teacher Academy is hosting a care closet! It is very important to us because we understand the importance of students’ needs and how it impacts one’s learning and mental health. We noticed that schools across the district and state host a care closet for students, and we decided it was time for William Penn to host one as well. High school students are especially in need of personal care items, as they are impacted by low-income situations in the most crucial time of their education. In order to be sure we have what we need to help out these students, we are asking for donations from staff, students, and families willing to support them. We are grateful that Tri-M has agreed to help us collect these donations.
Below you will find a list of items needed. Items can be dropped off in each staff center or in N104 or E212.

- Soap
- Toothbrush
- Hairbrush
- Tooth Paste
- Hair Products
- Hair Accessories
- Deodorant
- Chapstick
- Pads/Tampons
- Band Aids
- Socks
- Lotion
- Body Spray (Scents for Male and Female)
If you are not able to supply items, cash donations are also welcome so we can shop for needed items. Please reach out to Mrs. Huber (N104) or Ms. Bolden (E212) if a monetary donation is easier for you.
We appreciate any donations and hope that our Care Closet becomes a permanent resource at WP. Shout out to Ms. Bacon who inspired us with this idea as she kept a closet when she worked at WP….now go clean out those bathroom cabinets. We’re sure you’ve got some lotions and Bath & Body to spare!
