PSAT Day 3/5:

  • Wednesday, March 5th, is PSAT day!
  • Students in grades 9, 11, and 12 have an asynchronous day at home.
  • 10th-grade students will report to school to take the SAT.
  • 10th-graders should bring their Chromebooks and chargers and be on time to school. Classroom assignments for 10th graders will be released later in the week; students should check their Schoology accounts for a message from their proctors.
  • This test will begin shortly after students arrive at 7:05 am, so plan ahead and be on time! Breakfast, snacks, and lunch will be provided. Dismissal will be at the normal time of 1:50 pm. There will be no early dismissals on test day!  Thank you for your support in making this a successful testing day for your scholar.

Reminder, due to upcoming PSAT and SAT testing, the A/B rotation has been adjusted to ensure classes on A and B days are more equal. Please see the A/B Day schedule for March 3rd thru March 20th.

Leaving School Grounds:

 Scholars may NOT leave campus unless it is a scheduled (and approved) early dismissal.  This includes the morning after arrival on the property and during lunches.  Once students get off the bus , dropped off by a vehicle , or walk on campus, they are considered on school grounds. 

Students will be subject to being searched upon their return. The appropriate consequences will be applied.  

 

Dental Smile Program:

The Division of Public Heath, Bureau of Oral Health and Dental Services believes every child has the right to be healthy. A healthy mouth is an important part of having good overall health. The Delaware Smile Check Program is a preventive dental screening and case management program
dedicated to identifying dental problems that can prevent a child from reaching good health.

Dental Services Offered
  • Dental Screenings (a visual evaluation)
  • Fluoride application (to strengthen teeth)
  • Case management (help finding a dentist, insurance, resources, and answering dental questions).
  • Toothbrush, toothpaste, dental floss and a prize.
Who Can Participate
  • Students who are uninsured or insured by Medicaid or DCHIP
  • Students who have not had a dental cleaning or examination in the past 7 months that are uninsured or insured by Medicaid and DCHIP

Insurance will be billed for students insured by Medicaid and DCHIP. Families are not responsible for any services not paid.

Cap and Gown 

  • All Seniors must order a cap and gown.  
  • You can order your Cap and Gowns until May 30th, however, after April 15th, Jostens will not be able to guarantee the exact/custom size.
  • Cap and gowns will be delivered to school, and we will have a day for distribution during Graduation Practice in June.
