The Following Protocols Will Be in Effect for the William Penn Boys’ Playoff Basketball Game Against Howard High School 02/29/2024

To ensure the continued safety of our athletes, coaches, fans and staff, William Penn High School will be  implementing increased safety protocols during Thursday’s playoff game at William Penn High School. It includes cut-off times for ticket sales, a bag policy, a mask policy, additional contracted staffing, and metal detectors, all of which have become commonplace at local sporting events, concerts, airports, and other venues where large crowds gather.

This is a proactive measure and is not in response to any threats, concerns, or specific incidents.

Please be advised:

  • An electronic ticket is required for entry; This is a DIAA event and there will be no cash sales at the door.  Only approved DIAA passes will be accepted.
  • No re-entry at any time.
  • No entry after halftime, regardless of ticket purchase.  “After halftime” is considered at the start of the 3rd quarter.
  • No outside food or drinks permitted.
  • No alcohol, tobacco, vape products, illegal substances or weapons.
  • Anyone arriving at the game MUST pass security clearance(s), which means:
    • Walk through a metal detector/wanding.
    • Bags may be subject to search. (see bag policy below)
    • Any items that are considered contraband, will be confiscated and will not be returned.
