Good Evening William Penn Students and Families!!
This is Ms. Brewington, School Principal.
Today we had a great start to the 2020 – 2021 school year as we welcomed staff back. For the next 2 weeks, we will be busy preparing for the return of students for remote instruction. We are super excited about our plans for an excellent school year at William Penn!!!
Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, we were not able to collect all school materials that were used for last year’s instruction. This is where we need your help. We need all students to return any materials that belong to the Colonial School District and William Penn. These are items such as textbooks, novels, calculators, etc. These items need to be collected and accounted for so they can be used for this year’s instruction. We will also need time to organize and sanitize any materials that have been returned. Students may keep their Colonial School District issued chromebooks as they will be needed for this year’s instruction.
Tomorrow from 4 pm to 7 pm, staff will be at William Penn to receive items that students and families drop off. Staff will also be available on Wednesday from 8:00 am to 11:00 am. As a reminder, items that are not returned may result in a student obligation, which means students will be responsible for the items or the cost of the items.
I want to thank everyone who came today to drop off school materials and thank students and families in advance for returning all items tomorrow and on Wednesday. We look forward to seeing you soon!!!
Thank you and have a great evening!!!
Ms. Brewington
