What are your plans for after graduation?
– I plan on attending West Chester University’s Forensic & Toxicological Chemistry Program!!!!!! I’M SO EXCITED!!!
What are you passionate about outside of school?
-Criminal justice, forensics, music, friends, playing with my dogs and getting together with my family.
Any Awards, Scholarships or Accomplishments?
– I was ranked 1st in my class during Sophomore and Junior years. I have had to overcome many adversities throughout my school years in order to accomplish what I have. In 7th grade, I was diagnosed with Dysgraphia, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia and ADHD/ADD. Instead of allowing those disabilities to define me, I defined myself. I worked with teachers who took a special interest in me, they instilled a self confidence I never felt and taught me to fight for myself and that I am more than a diagnosis. With their help, I worked on defining who I was and worked very hard for every grade I earned. I was a member of the National Honor Society. I was Student Ambassador to the school and was President of the Making Change Club where I worked with students and staff creating many standards and guidelines the school operated under. I was president of Climate & Culture which I worked directly with the Vice Principal dealing with social emotional learning and mentored and met with many students to help address their issues in this area along with others.
What’s one word you would use to describe yourself and why?
-Persistent. I stand up for myself and others. I have no problem raising my hand and answering questions or asking them. When I see changes that need to be made, I let my voice be heard. With logic and reasoning, I rarely take no for an answer.
What teacher made an impact on you and why?
-Many teachers from my old school made a huge impact on me. At WP the 2 teachers who have had the most impact on me are Mr. Francis Lusch and Mr. Steve Talmo. Mr. Lusch teaches my Criminal Justice class he has taught me to question things from every direction, not just a narrative you were given. He also made the class fun. He makes learning the material fun and is always ready with a joke. Mr. Talmo impacted me by letting me know it was ok to be who I am and to not let anyone stop me or tell me who to be. He’s a great teacher and coach who motivates you to work harder and be better. He was always available to talk and make me smile.
What person, who isn’t a teacher, made an impact on you and why?
-My mother. She has always stood behind me and helped me in any way she could. She’s always there when I need her.
