William Penn Students, Parents, and Families. This is Ms. Brewington, Principal of William Penn High School.
I would like to take this time to thank you to all parents, families, students, alumni and staff for your support for all of William Penn High School’s Homecoming events this past weekend. I would like to extend a special congratulations to all the students who participated in this year’s homecoming court.
Although homecoming is over, we have several events taking place here at William Penn this week. On Tuesday, October 22nd, from 6-7:30 pm, William Penn will be hosting the Kindergarten Carnival and Registration Night. This event is an opportunity for all of our youngest future Colonials and parents to come to William Penn to hear about all the exciting opportunities at our elementary schools, while registering your student for Kindergarten next school year.
On October 24th, during the school day, William Penn will be holding our College and Career Technical Fair. During this event, students will have an opportunity to speak to representatives from Delaware Tech, Goldey Beacom, Delaware State University, Wesley College, Trade Schools, the Military, and much, much more!
On the evening of October 24th, William Penn will be hosting its annual William Penn Showcase! We are inviting all Colonial School District families and students to come to William Penn to learn about all of the academic and extracurricular programs we have here at the high school!! This event begins at 6:30 pm and will not be one that you want to miss!!! William Penn High School staff, community, parents and students will be here to showcase our degree programs, college and career connections – including online and early college courses, and our clubs and athletics. There will be a variety of entertainment and the Penn Bistro will be open serving food prepared by our very own students.
As you can see, we have an exciting week of events coming up and we look forward to seeing all of our William Penn and Colonial families this week! Please feel free to invite your friends and family, and students from other schools and bring someone along with you!
