George Read students got their first experience today putting plants into the ground in the newly minted outdoor classroom. Students planted arugula in the flower beds in straight lines about 12 inches apart. Agriculture teacher, Ms. Madorma, gave the students instructions in the classroom and assisted students as they literally got their hands dirty this afternoon. We look forward to seeing how the plants grow and how students learn from their first time using the outdoor classroom.
