Who We Are – Jim Comegys
James “Jim” Comegys grew up in the Colonial School District and attended schools starting at Pre-K until he graduated from William Penn with the class of 1991. Jim has spent his entire career as an educator in schools in New Castle County and was named Secondary Principal of the Year in 2011. As the new Director of Schools (secondary) for Colonial, Jim is proud to be returning to his childhood school district. What inspires him the most are schools, teachers, and leaders who accept students and expect excellence from them.
My Favorite memory as an Educator . . . .
“Graduations. All of them, but especially the class of 2001 when I was the class advisor and the first one when I was principal at Middletown High. The joy on parents, students and families faces when they reach this milestone is always a highlight for me.”
Jim is Who WE Are.
