Who We Are – Lauren Wilson

Since leaving Action News after 24-years as a Delaware Correspondent, telling “our story” in Colonial has been Wilson’s special assignment. With more than 30-years of radio and TV broadcasting experience, Wilson created “Keeping Up With Colonial,” monthly video segments that highlight the great things occurring in the district, along with an E-newsletter called “Colonial Clippings. “ Wilson takes special joy promoting the Colonial School District by inviting media to our schools so students and staff are often featured in print, radio, and television. She also takes time to share her professional expertise with students interested in the broadcasting industry. “It’s refreshing to be able to highlight positive things that occur in our district while keeping families, our community and key stakeholders informed about anything affecting the district. As a former reporter, I realize the importance of transparency in good times and in bad, but I am happy to say the good times far outweigh the bad…this is a great school district!”
