A Devoted Colonial: Karen Gilbert After 42 years, one of Colonial’s most dedicated and passionate educators is saying goodbye. From the classroom to District Office, Karen Gilbert has made an unforgettable impact on students, families and staff throughout Colonial. Starting as a Special Education Teacher at George Read, Karen thrived in every opportunity. As Assistant Principal, a Principal and in her most recent role as Director of Operations for the district, her commitment to Colonial is second to none. Thank you Karen!
