I love working with young people and their families.
What are your most noteworthy achievements in your career?
I was a Treatment Supervisor at Ferris School and headed the Guidance Department for 15 years at George Read MS.
What’s your best memory from your time in CSD?
My best memories are the friendships and relationships I built with my peers, students and their families.
What’s something you hope to be remembered for?
My dedication, passion and hard work for so many years.
What are you looking forward to in retirement?
Being stress free and enjoying my time with my Family.
Describe your first day of the school . . . next school year?
Excited and nervous at the same time. This was a Big Decision to make for me and my Family.
Is there a colleague that has inspired you in your life?
Dr. Rae Burton at Wilmington University. Also, i had great inspiration from my grandfather, mother and father.
Who and/or what will you miss most?
My closest peers and the students.

WE are here to be passionate about the lives of our students, parents and the community.
What’s the most valuable lesson you have learnt from your students?
The most valuable lesson I learned from the students is that are Resilient and Courageous young people.

Any final words for the students, staff and families before you retire?
It was a great honor and pleasure working with so many awesome staff throughout my years in Colonial SD. The reason why I became a School Counselor was that I loved working with people especially the students. My vision was to ensure successful for all the students and families I have came in contact with throughout the years.
