- The Colonial Board of Education Meeting held its annual leadership vote at the July meeting and have named new members to fill the roles of president and vice president. President Chris Piecuch will now head the board with Vice President Ms. Christine Smith. Mr. Piecuch has served on the board since 2020, and on the Citizens Finance Oversight Committee since 2015. Ms. Smith has served on the board since 2022 and has worked in education for 30 years. After 19 years of service to the school board, over ten years serving as president, Mr. Ted Laws will continue his service on the board as a member and remain active in the Colonial community. WE thank Mr. Laws for his tireless years of leadership, and congratulate Mr. Piecuch and Ms. Smith for their willingness to voluntarily take on more responsibilities with the Colonial Board of Education.
