Delaware’s school drinking water testing program has returned new results for 5 of our schools.
Today’s results are for consumption points at: Pleasantville, McCullough, George Read, Wilbur, and Wilmington Manor.
- The testing found elevated results in six (6) samples at six (6) fixtures in Pleasantville. These results are higher than previous testing showed. The fixtures have been turned off from public consumption. The district will pursue remediation efforts to address the issue, such as replacing fixtures or installing filters.
- The testing found elevated results in five (5) samples at four (4) fixtures in
McCullough. These results are higher than previous testing showed. The fixtures have been turned off from public consumption. The district will pursue remediation efforts to address the issue, such as replacing fixtures or installing filters. - The testing found elevated results in five (5) samples at three (3) fixtures in George Read. These results are higher than previous testing showed. The fixtures have been turned off from public consumption. The district will pursue remediation efforts to address the issue, such as replacing fixtures or installing filters.
- The testing found elevated results in three (3) samples at three (3) fixtures in Wilbur. These results are higher than previous testing showed. The fixtures have been turned off from public consumption. The district will pursue remediation efforts to address the issue, such as replacing fixtures or installing filters.
- The testing found elevated results in six (6) samples at four (4) fixtures in Wilmington Manor. These results are higher than previous testing showed. The fixtures have been turned off from public consumption. The district will pursue remediation efforts to address the issue, such as replacing fixtures or installing filters.
These results were reviewed with the Principal of each building and it was determined that the impact to staff and students of these fixtures being shut off would not cause a disruption to normal building operations.
