Who: Students at John G. Leach School. Leach School serves pupils residing in New Castle County, ages 3-21, who have physical disabilities, moderate to severe cognitive disabilities, or serious health impairments.
What: 2018 Prom with a “Glow Party” theme, one of the hottest new trends! The party will include fluorescent colors and glow-in-the dark accessories which will illuminate under the glow of lights to create a multicolored experience. Students from William Penn High School, along with administrators, staff and parents will dance the time away with students, many of whom are wheelchair bound.
When: Friday, April 27, 2018 from 1:00-2:30 p.m. * Cosmetology students from Howard Career Center (with New Castle County Vocational Technical School District) will arrive to do hair and make-up starting at 9:30 a.m.

Details: Each year Leach students help plan for the prom to the best of their abilities while also voting on a Prom King and Prom Queen who will be honored at the event. “It is a pleasure to give our special needs students the same high school experiences that other students have so they, and their parents, can enjoy a memorable prom,” said Principal Christal Beasley. “Our prom is one of the most exciting and anticipated events of the entire school year!” she said.
