
Constables
• New Constables have been hired, Erik Hill and Fred Gunter.
– Mr. Hill is assigned to Wilbur Elementary
– Mr. Gunter is assigned to Castle Hills & Wilmington Manor Elementary Schools.
• The District’s Constable vehicle has a new logo, making it easily identifiable.

Secure Entrances
• Upgraded Raptor systems were installed at Castle Hills, Carrie Downie, Wilmington Manor Elementary Schools, and McCullough Middle School.
• Raptor is a visitor monitoring and tracking system that includes security screening.

Access Control
Upgrades (key card access)
• 12 interior and exterior doors at Eisenberg Elementary School

Camera Upgrades
• A Safety and Security Team Walkthrough at Eisenberg identified 30 camera upgrades
• William Penn High School front parking lot: 5 light poles will have cameras mounted, facing toward WP and facing toward the parking lot.

Health and Wellness
• Heart in the Game event held at George Read on Saturday, February 1, 2025, for National Youth Heart Screening Day. Students received free heart screenings & engaged in educational workshops focused on heart health & awareness.

Weapons Detection Systems
• New regulations around entry into sporting events went into effect in December 2024: https://www.colonialssports.com/
• Open Gate Weapons Detection Systems have been utilized at home basketball games at William Penn High School.
• 4 additional detecting wands have been ordered; one for WP and one for each middle school.
