Nominate a CSD Staff member for CSDESPY Award
The state has developed a new award (Educational Support Professional of the Year) to honor State employees that work in an Educational Support capacity within Districts in the State. The Colonial School District will be accepting nominations for the first ever “CSDESPYs” awards. Nominations can from our community, staff and students until June 30, 2020.
A CSDESPY Awards is given to a school employee whose position is instructional in nature or who provides other direct or indirect services to students and their parents such as
- Paraprofessionals
- Instructional aides
- Custodial/Maintenance
- Secretaries
- Nutritional staff
- Constable
- Technology Specialist
- School bus drivers/aides
HOW TO NOMINATE
1) From June 1-30, 2020, ANYONE can nominate ANY eligible staff member by using the following Form:
- Nominations can include any Colonial employee that would fit the following description: “a school employee whose position is instructional in nature or who provides other direct or indirect services to students and their parents such as paraprofessionals, instructional aides, custodial staff, secretaries, nutritional staff, and school bus drivers.”
- Nominations will be accepted through June 30, 2020.
2) One “CSDESPY” awards winner will be named from each Colonial building site by July 31, 2020. The selected building winners will then be forwarded on to the Superintendent’s Office.
3) The Superintendent’s Office will review all of the selected building CSDESPY winners and work to make the selection of a District CSDESPY to represent Colonial. The review and selection of a District candidate should be completed in time to be presented by the August 2020 School Board Meeting.
