In the spirit of community and giving, over 100 bags of ready to cook Thanksgiving meals were given out to CSD families thanks to our community partner, the Newark Elks. Thanks to their generosity, families who registered at Pleasantville (as well as , George Read and Carrie Downie) were given a Turkey, Pie and the trimmings to enjoy the holiday. CSD staff from Pleasantville were on hand today to help distribute as well as hand out school supplies, let families access the food pantry and just spread some Thanksgiving cheer. The Power of WE is strong in CSD thanks to community partners like the Newark Elks.
