8:30-9:15 a.m. Breakfast with vets invited by students who know them personally as a relative or friend.
9:25 a.m.- Veterans are ushered down the hallway to the auditorium greeted by kindergarten students waving flags, cards, and posters.
9:30-10:30 a.m– program that includes patriotic songs, the “Big E” drumline, and special presentations.
“This has become a beloved tradition at Eisenberg. The veterans, from all branches of the military, enjoy spending the one-on-one time with the student who invited them to breakfast. The parade is always a very moving moment for the vets, and our students learn the true meaning of the holiday by hosting this celebration,” said Principal David Distler.
