On Tuesday, February 21, 2023, Mr. Bill Johnston will become the new principal at Gunning Bedford Middle School. Mr. Johnston is excited to transition from principal at McCullough Middle School to join Gunning Bedford. Please welcome Mr. Johnston to the Panther family!
Hello Gunning Bedford Community:
It is my pleasure to serve as principal of Gunning Bedford Middle School starting February 21st. I am excited and honored to become part of the Panther community. I have been a member of the Colonial School District for the last 15 years as a teacher at William Penn High School, an administrator at both George Read Middle School and William Penn, and a principal at McCullough Middle School. I will draw on my experiences to help provide access to dynamic learning opportunities for students at Gunning Bedford that prepare them for bright futures.
We will continue to keep students at the heart of our decision-making process. Our work with children and families is grounded in having strong positive relationships. I will be working diligently to gain your trust and that of your children in order to support their learning experiences. I am eager to learn about the students, the staff, the building, and the community that makes Gunning Bedford such a wonderful and unique school.
I am excited and hopeful about the heights we can achieve together. I look forward to serving our students and the community. I hope to meet you soon and please reach out should you have questions or concerns.
