Eighth Grade Celebration

Congratulations to our Gunning Bedford eighth grade students as they move to high school!  To celebrate their accomplishments, we will host a small celebration for eighth grade students on June 10, from 3:00 – 6:00 pm.  During this time students will be able to sign up for a 30-minute arrival window to ensure a limited capacity.  A link to sign up was sent via email by Mr. Bartnik on June 2nd.

Come to GB and say goodbye to friends and teachers.  Eighth graders will receive a gift, grab a treat, take pictures, and hang out with classmates they may not have seen all year!  Additionally, jam out to some music and purchase a yearbook to forever remember Gunning Bedford and middle school!

Please be aware, COVID-19 policies will still apply.  Students should bring no more than two adults with them.  This event will be outside, but students and families must still wear masks.  In addition, we must limit the number of attendees at any one time so you must complete this signup genius to pick a time slot to attend.

If you’re free, please join us in congratulating our hard working eighth graders and wishing them well as they move onto high school!

Chromebook and Materials Drop Off

Students must return Chromebooks and other instructional materials such as Math books and English novels by the end of this school year.

  • Face-to-Face Students: Staff will collect Chromebooks and materials from Face-to-Face students on Thursday, June 10 during school. If you know that your child will not attend school on June 10, please have him or her return these items on their last school day.
  • Remote Students: Please attend one of two Gunning Bedford’s drop-off windows for parents of remote students to return district Chromebooks, chargers, and materials.
    • Tuesday, June 15 from 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm.
    • Wednesday, June 16 from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm.

Even if you are staying in Colonial it is very important that items are returned for summer maintenance and updates to prepare for the upcoming school year.  Any unreturned Chromebooks will not be usable after June 18.

Talent Show

Gunning Bedford has talent!  Tune in to the Gunning Bedford Talent Show on Thursday, June 10th at 12:00pm.  Students will be able to view the video LIVE at that time!  The video will be available on the channel after the live stream.  Click here to view the live stream!
