You can still order your 2019-2020 Gunning Bedford yearbook! Orders can be placed online until May 31, for $40. Only a limited amount of yearbooks remain! If you would like to guarantee your copy, use the link below to order.

Visual & Performing Arts Application
Attention Sixth & Seventh Grade Gunning Bedford students:
Gunning Bedford is Colonial’s Visual and Performing Arts focus school. Now is the time to apply for the advanced Visual and Performing Arts classes for the upcoming school year, 2020-2021. Please look through this presentation to learn more about the different courses and APPLY for the courses you are interested in by Friday, June 5. If you have any questions, please message the teacher listed on the slide for the course you are interested in.
*Please be aware that in order to complete the application, you will need to be signed into Google with your school account.*
End of Year Awards Ceremonies
We are pleased to announce that the end of year awards ceremonies and moving up ceremonies will be occurring virtually! The events will be available to watch via a livestream directly on our Gunning Bedford YouTube channel.
If your child is in sixth or seventh grade and receiving an award, you will be notified via email. The email will contain an invitation to watch the ceremonies at the following dates and times:
- Sixth Grade End of Year Awards: Monday, June 8 at 6:30
- Seventh Grade End of Year Awards: Tuesday, June 9 at 6:30
If your child is in eighth grade, join us for a moving up ceremony with end of year awards on Wednesday, June 10. Times vary by team:
- Team 8B – 11:00am
- Team 8A – 12:30pm
- Team 8C – 2:00pm
Technology
Students will be keeping their district issued Chromebooks for the summer. If your student does not plan to attend a Colonial School District school next year, please plan to return the Chromebook on the “student pick up” days. More information can be found below.
Student Pick Up of Materials
During the week of Monday, June 15 to Wednesday, June 18, families will be able to pick up materials. Students and/or families will be able to pick up items students left at school within classrooms and lockers. Students will also be able to return Gunning Bedford materials such as, textbooks, library books and more! Chromebook devices and band instruments will only be returned if the student does not plan to attend a Colonial School District school in the fall. Below are the dates/times for pick up and drop off of materials:
- 8th Grade Pickup/Dropoff: Monday, June 15th from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
- 7th Grade Pickup/Dropoff: Tuesday, June 16th from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
- 6th Grade Pickup/Dropoff: Wednesday, June 17th from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
If you have multiple children attending Gunning Bedford in different grades you may pick any of the days listed for all of your children.
