Curriculum

At CEEP, we utilize the following Assessments, Screenings, and Curriculum to plan for instruction, implement lessons and activities, and share progress with families:

  • The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommends that children receive Developmental Screening at the ages of 9 months, 18 months, 24-30 months, 36 months, and 48 months.
  • ASQs are the FREE Developmental Screening tools used with our Typical Peers and our children with Speech Only IEPs.  ASQs are also offered for FREE for all children ages Birth-5 who reside in Colonial or attend a child care, preschool, Head Start, or other Early Learning Program in Colonial.

  • All of our teachers and paraeducators have participated in CD training, and CD strategies are utilized in all of our preschool classrooms.
  • Conscious Discipline “is a proven, comprehensive approach that empowers users with skills that create a safe, connected, problem-solving environment for families.”
  • Conscious Discipline “equips educators to integrate social-emotional learning, discipline and self-regulation so they spend less time policing behavior and more time teaching vital life skills.”
  • I Love You rituals are a critical component of Conscious Discipline.
  • Visit the Conscious Discipline YouTube page.
  • CC is a “comprehensive, research-based curriculum that features exploration and discovery as a way of learning.”
  • CC is the primary curriculum tool utilized by our staff.
  • Staff use observation to collect anecdotal notes/data for all of the children in their classroom, then they upload this information into the online TSG portal.  There are 38 objectives on which the staff focus.
  • Staff use the data collected in TSG to create developmentally appropriate lesson plans that are personalized for each child’s learning level and to generate progress reports.
