Meet the Principal – Katrina Daniels

As a married mother of three children, Katrina Daniels realizes the value of school and family partnerships and takes those values with her as the principal of Colonial’s Early Education Program (CEEP) saying, “what I want for my own children is the school environment that I try to establish for my CEEP children,”  Daniels says. She understands the successes and challenges that come with being a working parent but wants families to know young learners are in good hands once they walk through the doors. “At CEEP, we value authentic connections with the students and we realize that in order for these connections to happen we must start within our own school family. We start by connecting with students through the heart (love).”  Principal Daniels loves teaching and is passionate about working with both children and adults. As a self described natural leader, Daniels makes certain her staff works together to bring joy and fun in teaching and learning. “We cultivate curious learners, creative thinkers, and confident scholars. We value connection before content. Youngsters learn best when they know that everything about them is important.” Katrina Daniels worked hard on her journey as an educator and administrator who acknowledges she wasn’t always an A student or the most well behaved student. She says her growth is attributed to the love she has about her work as an administrator at CEEP adding, “ When you are working in your passion, you know that the days are not perfect but they are most definitely worth it!”
