This is a 15 week workforce development program. You must be at least 15 years of age and enrolled in high school to participate in this program. The first portion of the program will consist of professionalism workshops. Workshops will take place at the Walnut Street YMCA on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:30pm-6:00pm. The workshop portion will last for 5 weeks. With successful completion of the workshops, you will complete the new hire process with the Walnut Street YMCA (online training, paperwork, references etc.). When hired with the Walnut St. YMCA you will be placed in a department within the Downtown YMCA’s or a community business partner to work a 100-hour paid internship. We are looking for candidates that are 18 years of age (by June 15th) who are interested in and have a love of working with children. We have different opportunities available (camp, before/afterschool care, virtual learning support).
