We understand that school assignments matter. Colonial is committed to an open and transparent process and to making any approved transition as smooth as possible for students and families.
The Realignment at a Glance
- 8% of the elementary student population would be impacted.
- 323 of 3,942 elementary students would be impacted.
- 7 elementary schools would be impacted.
Why is a feeder pattern realignment being considered?
The proposed changes would:
- Better meet the needs of all students and support increased student needs.
- Address elementary school capacity pressures.
- Support the reimagining of special education settings across the district.
- Use district resources responsibly while maintaining strong school communities.
