Thank you for your interest in renting our facilities for your community event.  

Please refer to the information outlined in the Colonial’s Facility Resource Guide to become familiar with updated guidelines & pricing of facility usage in the Colonial School District.  

Construction projects may restrict access to buildings, rooms, fields or parking lots. Check this webpage often for updates. {7/22/2026}

  • Gunning Bedford Middle School: No access to the Auditorium. Outside access is currently restricted to re-open 9/14/2026..
  • New Castle Elementary School: No access to the Track Field & the Track parking lot area until 1/1/2027.
  • William Penn High School: Roof replacement underway with group parking designated to the right side of the building.

Please check the Colonial District website for weather closings.  If schools are closed on a Friday, all weekend events are cancelled.

  • Submit requests through www.SchoolRentalsDE.com with a valid Certificate of Insurance (refer to the resource guide).
  • The first date to rent a facility is Monday, 9/14/2026 & the last rental date is Friday, 6/4/2027.
  • Groups are asked to exit buildings by 9:00 PM.
  • Verbal approvals are NOT valid for any/all facility requests.
  • Colonial no longer allows facility rentals in any of the buildings or on grounds for personal parties or business purposes.
  • Organizations must possess the approved facility request or paid invoice when on-site.
  • Make your Facility Rental payments online!  All fee’s are due one week prior to use.
