Eligibility
To be eligible for school bus transportation, students must:Attend their designated feeder pattern school

• Live at least one mile from school if in grades K-6, or
• Live at least two miles from school if in grades 7-12

Walking limits may be waived for handicapped students or when unique hazards are deemed by state officials to make walking unsafe. Other transportation services may be provided to accommodate working students or those participating in school activities.

Bus Route Notification
Families receive notification in the mail about their student’s bus route in late August. In addition, your child’s school can produce an individualized printout ‘upon request’ of this information. For childcare transportation requests, please contact your child’s school office.

Where’s the Bus — Why Wonder?

Real-Time Bus Arrival Information

CSD is now offering the “Where’s the Bus” app to provide parents and students with timely information about the location of your child’s bus.

Using GPS technology, this app will show you and your child how many more miles your bus is from the bus stop.

The “Where’s the Bus” app is free to CSD families whose children ride the bus. The app is available on all devices with internet access and takes less than five (5) minutes to install.

At CSD, our transportation team is committed to providing the best service. We hope the “Where’s the Bus” app makes your household’s bus-riding experience even more convenient and safe.

How to Sign Up

Step 1: Create Account
Go to WherestheBus.com, click the “Create Account” button.

Step 2: Select District
Select “Colonial School District” from the drop-down menu.

Step 3: Add Student
Click the “Add Student” button and enter the student’s date of birth and student ID number.
