Diabetes Resources
Type 1 diabetes is a lifelong autoimmune condition in which the body stops making insulin, a hormone needed to control blood sugar. It cannot be prevented, but early recognition and diagnosis can help reduce serious complications and support better long-term health.
At Colonial School District, our school nurses are available to support students with diabetes and partner with families to help ensure a safe and successful school experience.
For more information about Type 1 diabetes, please explore the resources below or contact your child's school nurse.
