Attention Rising 11th and 12th Grade Students:

SAT Preparation Summer Course

 

What: SAT preparation for rising 11th and 12th-grade students who currently attend William Penn High School. Students will learn strategies, timing techniques (stress management-feeling less rushed), and specific content (critical reading or math)-a refresher of earlier math material. Students will review several practice section tests. Students will strengthen their knowledge of the overall test and scoring, plus gain confidence and reduce anxiety.

Students will be provided a specialized SAT instructor through the partnership between Back to Basics and Colonial School District. Homework will be assigned each session to reinforce the skills being provided in the sessions.

When: SAT preparation courses will be held from June 20, 2022- August 11, 2022, two days a week from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Eight (8) weeks of preparation that includes two (2) sessions per week – Your student will meet with a SAT math instructor once a week for 1.5 hours as well as a SAT verbal instruction for 1.5 hours a week.

Where: Via Remote Connection for Virtual Instruction using Zoom

Materials: Students will be provided a specialized SAT instructor through the partnership between Back to Basics and Colonial School District. Homework will be assigned each session to reinforce the skills being provided in the sessions. A prep book will be provided to the student(S)by Colonial School District upon registration. Students will receive their prep book before the end of the school year.
