The current education climate has allowed CSD to create high-quality virtual learning experience to that mirrors our traditional face-to-face program. Colonial has developed the CSD Virtual Program to which will allows students to learn outside their assigned school building. This approach provides a rich and engaging experience for all learners that parallels that of in-person learning.

CVP is committed to providing many opportunities for families to receive information pertaining to the things going on within the school. First and foremost, communication with your child’s teacher is vital; however you can also check our school website and/or social media platforms, as well, for reminders. To receive messages from Mrs. DiEmidio via Remind text, text @cd96heh to the number 81010 or just click here. You will receive important reminders and updates about upcoming events and school closings/delays through this form of communication. 

School Closings/Late Openings

Any cancellation or late opening of school due to weather or an emergency will be announced using the School Messenger automatic calling program. This telephone message system is automated and will contact you as soon as the decision regarding closing or delay has been made. It is vital that you keep your telephone contact information and/or email address current with us so that you receive all important announcements. 

In addition, the following are alternative methods for obtaining school closing or delay information:

  • WJBR 99.5 FM
  • WSTW 93.7 FM
  • WDEL 1150 AM or 101.7 FM

Please do not call the school to ask if school is open or closed. The phone lines need to remain open to receive communication from the District Office. In inclement weather or an emergency occurs during the school day, and schools are dismissed early, the School Messenger automated calling system will be utilized to inform families. Should there be a need to contact you in an emergency, it is vital that the school office is informed with the most updated address and phone number(s).
