School Nurse

School Nurses’ Office

A healthy school environment requires the cooperation and effort of us all working together. A student’s health is directly related to his or her ability to learn. The school nurse’s role is keeping children healthy, safe, and in the classroom ready to learn. Our main function is to take care of health related problems and needs that occur during normal school hours. Students and parents are asked to contact the school nurse if they have any questions concerning the student’s medical needs.

The nurses’ office is open daily from 7:15 to 9:00 a.m. and 9:45 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. It is closed from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. during the nurses’ planning period. The nurses are always available for emergencies. Students are expected to have a signed pass to the nurses’ office from a school staff member. Exceptions include daily medical administration and emergencies.

William Penn High School aims to provide our students not only with an excellent education, but with resources to meet the needs of all their cognitive, emotional, and mental development. As such, please refer to the following sites.

Students, please remember that if you are in crisis to IMMEDIATELY seek the assistance of a faculty member or administrator so we can assist you.
