What’s Happening at PLV?
Pennies for Patients
March 27th begins Pleasantville’s Annual Pennies for Patients event to benefit the Lukemia and Lymphoma Society. You can help by collecting spare change and placing it into your child’s collection box. When the box is full, send it back to school where it will be collected by your child’s teacher. Last year, Pleasantville raised $2,008.69! For more information, please refer to the handout that was sent home with your child during the week of March 27th!
Spring Picture Day: Thursday, March 30th
“Dress to Impress”! Spring picture day is this Thursday, March 30th in the morning. This day is for group and individual pictures. Families who wish to purchase pictures, please return the order form with the exact amount of money to school on Thursday, March 30th.
SBAC State Testing Begins!
Our 3rd grade students begin taking the state test this week. Parents you can help by making sure your child gets a goodnight’s rest, arrives to school on time (before 8:40 a.m.), eats a well-balanced breakfast at home or school, and by encouraging your child to do his or her absolute BEST on the TEST! There are several listening portions on the test. We will have earphones/headphones for the students; however, many prefer to wear their own from home.
