What’s Happening at PLV?
Polar Bear Book Club: All month long!
Monday, March 6th is the 1st day of the POLAR BEAR BOOK CLUB! The entire school is reading “Otherwise Known as Shelia the Great” by Judy Blume for the month of March. Every family has been given a book to read at home and every morning there will be a trivia question related to the previous night’s reading. Thank you for helping us spread the joy of literacy by reading with your children at home!
Mrs. Robinson’s Nurse’s Corner
Dress for the weather: Winter is here! Please be sure your child dresses appropriately for the cold winter weather as they go out for recess on most days, or may be waiting for the bus or walking to school. Please contact Mrs Robinson or Mrs Nowell if your child needs a coat, hat or gloves.
Illness: Here are some guidelines to follow to know when you should keep your child at home:
-If your child has a temperature of 100.4 or more. They need to be fever free for 24 hours without the use of any medication before returning to school
-If your child has vomited within the past 12 hours or does not want to eat or drink anything.
-If your child complains AND seems unwell to you.
Health Requirements: Parents, if you have received a note from the school nurse with missing health requirements for your child, please send them to school as soon as possible. If you have any questions please call our school nurse, Donna Robinson- 302-323-2937.
