Future Farmers of America is growing roots at George Read

George Read now has a Future Farmers of America Club. Members of the FFA planted tulip bulbs so they’ll pop up next spring. Teacher, Mrs. Redrow, even got a plaque so all will know the school’s first FFA Club planted the flowers that will blossom each year. Students were joined in this venture by sisters and mothers. The opportunity for our students to work hand in hand with their family members reaffirms our belief that by increasing student engagement through relevant learning experiences student learning will increase in all areas. We look forward to seeing the blossoming tulips and other FFA outings soon.
