Delaware’s school drinking water testing program has returned new results for one (1) of our schools.

Today’s results are for consumption points at: Castle Hills Elementary

  • The testing found elevated results in fifty nine (59) samples at thirty five (35) fixtures in Castle Hills. These results are higher than previous testing showed. The fixtures have been turned off from public consumption. The district will pursue remediation efforts to address the issue, such as replacing fixtures or installing filters.

These results were reviewed with the Principal of the building. Due to ongoing utility work outside the building that disrupted water availability, alternative water sources have been in place since the beginning of the school year. Staff and students will continue to use these alternate sources.
